Comments:
The idea of breeding Struck By War one last time was tempting, especially since we had a Silverbred breeding stallion on the grounds, so all the plans were made to breed Abby to Veyron. A prior deal had already been made to Fable Creek to let them have a foal from our Silverbred breeding pair but Abby had other ideas and when the vet came by to check Abby for her regular check-up he confirmed that there were two different heartbeats but Mel had no idea since she was out of town at the time. It came as a complete shock to her on the day Raven and Gryffindor were born that Abby had another set of twins, just like Stryker and Sachsen before them. The first one to be born was a sturdy grulla colored colt that was later named Gryffindor, and the second one was a bold chestnut tobiano filly who stood before her twin brother, she was later named Ravenclaw by Mel.
Raven is very much like both Veyron and Abby. She is very opinionated and definitely likes to have herself be heard. Raven has a heart of gold when she so chooses to show it. Like her sire Raven is definitely not above pulling the pranks, but often times hers can be a bit more dangerous since she has a nose thing and likes to tip over anything in sight. Her favorite things to push over are shovels, pitchforks, buckets whether they are full or not make no difference to her. She can be a bit of a prima-donna, and isn't always one to listen to Mel or her dam. Raven may be a daughter of Abby who could be as vicious as Augusto was at times when he was still alive but Raven is a bit unlike Abby all the same since she would rather cause mayhem than put her teeth on human flesh but she does kick, rear and buck occasionally. She is a very smart filly and definitely will be a good eventing filly once she goes undersaddle. She'll never be one that a child can ride but she will be one heck of a challenge for the experienced rider since she is quite fleet and loves to show her speed.
