Due to prior problems and conflicts of interest with another stable, our old contract was deleted and we decided to start anew with a revised contract. that we believe is simpler and to the point. Whitebrook puts the horse's interests first and has always taken into consideration the future home, money makes no difference to us nor does it affect our decision on who gets the horse if more than one person inquires. This contract will be expected to be followed through, but most of them are common sense.
WB's Sales Contract
1) Foal must be active, whether it be as a racer, eventer, or a AHAC/SFR competitor.
2) Lifetime buybacks to Whitebrook, in some cases we will allow the horse to be sold on but our buybacks go when you sell the horse. Your stable's contract is not allowed to be placed on the horse.
3) The colts that are foaled are not allowed to have any more than five foals. The fillies may only have four and that is the cut-off. I am always up for helping with stats so let me know when the foal is getting close to breeding age which is around five years of age, but four on the very rare occasion.
4) No changing of photos once they are found, in the rare case I will be so inspired to add small things to a horse's picture, such as name/pedigree but should you not like it I can provide you with the original picture.
5) WB seldoms uses prefixes/suffixes for our horses but if you would to add WB as a prefix by all means feel free to do so.
6) Our aging system is shall you say our own. We usually age up every three months or so until the racers turned two and then they go to every six-eight months depending on maturity but our eventers age once every six months.
7) Colts may be gelded should a problem occur prior to breeding or if you wish to breed them once they can then be gelded afterwards as well. We have no problems with gelding the colts. Most of our fillies are hormonally perfect so there is really no use of 'spaying' them.
8) Keep us updated on news about the babies! We love hearing how the foal(s) are progressing.
9) We normally will check in on our stables and get links collected when we 'make the rounds' but if we overlook one please PM me within 2-3 weeks with the right link that is currently being kept up-to-date.
10) Our blacklist only consists of one stable circle [Avalon Stables, Avalon Racers & Akmal Arabians], never ever sell any breedings to foals from our stock to those stables. I am tired of playing the 'nice' and 'civil' cards with those stable's owner so don't make me furious by selling a breeding or horse from my lines to them. I am also NOT accepting any foals they have now or have had previously as being the offspring of my stallions/mares so if you purchase one of the illegitimate foals I will not add it to my stallions/mares coverings/offspring list.
