_{Aspen is like a big, cuddly teddy bear. He's one of the most affectionate horses I've ever known. He runs his hardest when his rider is praising him along the way but praise is not needed to encourage Aspen to run harder. He has a natural swift gallop, almost like a deer and can easily keep pace with Sparks, Allure, and Pride when all four of them are worked together. He runs best at a mile but any further and wear begins to show, which is both suprising and not considering his sire won the Twilight Stakes and his half-brother WB Thunderbird won the Breeders' Cup Sprint. He has a stunning grey roan color and acts just as amazing as his color. He may be sweet and affectionate but don't get me wrong Aspen can be fired up as well but those moments wear off fast. Like Northern Pride, Royal Excalibur thrives off running and he loves being worked. He is a perfect gentleman before and after every workout he does, standing calmly while Mel bustles about him, getting him ready to go back to the barn. He has also proven to be very versatile and can handle both dirt and turf surfaces, from distances as short as five furlongs to distances as long as twelve furlongs.}
