Comments:
SS Amour Magique was bred when we were big on the classic Hanoverian lines, now she's not pure Hanoverian but Apache's Magick's dam Secret Love and GS Alove Letter are foals from the two best Hanoverians around still, that being Eagle's Wings and Gypsea. She has a small amount of Arabian in her from Wanderer II and Apache's Magic but it is barely recognized in her conformation and motion. As a weanling, yearling and two year old Amour resembled her dapple grey sire Apache's Magick but over the winter of her two year old training year Amour changed colors drastically, becoming a snowy grey almost to the point she could be classified as a albino but she isn't an albino since her skin is black.
Amour is very much a dainty thing. Getting dirty? nawh it might ruin her grey coat. Go for a quick run? sure as long as she can be hosed off afterwards. She's very cute and usually can be seen with her ears forward. She is a big, and gorgeous with lots of poise and very elegant, smooth strides. Amour is by blood talented as a 3 Day Eventer which her sire and dam both excelling at eventing in their younger days. She has a lot of power and tends to get worked up before a major show so a good workout is needed along with a soft hand to cool her nerves. I consider her to be my next Struck By War as she has all the necessary qualities to become as good as our Silverbred mare, but she'll need a lot of practice and showing to be good enough for Mel to even consider putting her up to be examined for the Silverbred registry. With her lines she is sure to be a killer eventing filly and we look forward to getting her under saddle. Her major quirk is that she has a low tolerance for colts, she just doesn't seem to like the boys a whole lot, which may lead her to having very few foals but nevertheless it'll be years before she's bred so her hatred of colts is not all that worrisome as of yet.
