Comments:
Art of War is studdish, a bit ill-tempered and hard to handle on his good days. Unlike Ariat, who's reliable and Sachsen who has random spells of high energy Art is a ticking time bomb that is likely to go off at any given moment of time. He has gorgeous conformation and will be one kicking under saddle horse with such outstanding elegance in his strides. Art's ill-tempered nature may be because he's in the terrible two stages but then again it may be because he is his mother's son and Abby had awful manners towards everyone except Mel and Art just seems to get along with no one, even his dam acted cool towards him when Art was still a baby. He's a incredibly flashy colt, despite being in the gawky stage, with his head-turning black color and stockings that look like his legs were dipped in white paint. He despises other colts so he has to pastured alone and fillies aren't in his universe yet. He is a show horse in breeding and should be one fantastic hunter next year but right now he doesn't seem to be interested in paying attention to his handler in halter classes. Blowing, constant hoof stomping and tail swishing keep him from placing high in classes. He is a very quirky colt and like Abby he wants things done his way or no way. It is really hard to tell this boy is sired by the gentle-natured Blitzen the way he acts. Art of War is also a colt not many want to be around, besides being hot tempered and ill mannered he's not bomb-proof and definitely acts like a stallion. He gets away with more than he should due to his big size but Mel always answers the questions from skeptics with this sentence "I breed eventers who learn their place when they start under-saddle and you can bet Art of War will be no exception."
