A wonderful son of our retired Silverbred mare Struck By War and by the stunning FCS stallion Mercury Rising, Ariat is totally a cutie. He always gives one hundred percent and adores Mel without a doubt. He would do anything she asked him too. Aerodynamic, or Ariat as he's known around the barn is a perfect example of Struck By War's ability as a producer. The Aries he was known as was gawky and didn't suit him so the staff got together to make up a new barn name for the stable's prize show colt and Ariat was the suggestion made by Cain. He really is one of our best young show horses for his gentle demeanor. Ariat is still a stallion though and doesn't let us forget that simple fact whenever a mare is in sight. He knows his boundaries as every WB trained colt does and seldom dares to cross his handler to go after a filly. He is a incredibly honest horse and can rock the rings like the best of them. In his past three years of being shown in-hand and edging lightly into the competition rings he has stunned the judges and walked away with numerous titles to his name. His lines tell of great racers, from Djerba to Crescendo to Twilight Stakes winners Apache's Magic and Seabiscuit but Ariat was bred for the show rings, specifically hunter, since he has such great scope over the jumps. His brother Stryker is the only racing son Struck By War produced from just having six foals.
